Avast for Business solutions provide businesses with new opportunities

Last week, we sat down with Alan Scott of the Mid-Valley Literacy Center at Avast’s headquarters. During his time visiting Prague, Alan enjoyed exploring the city and visiting some of its museums in order to escape the (somewhat unexpected) September heat.

Located in Keizer, Oregon (USA), the Mid-Valley Literacy Center’s mission is to empower adults with literacy skills needed to increase economic stability and overall quality of family life. Currently, the center serves around 120 students and is run by a group of 35 staff members, the majority of whom are volunteer-based.

Why did the Literacy Center choose Avast?

As a long-time Avast user, Alan is (and has always been) a firm believer in word-of-mouth marketing and admires Avast’s community-minded messaging. Alan and the rest of the team at the Mid-Valley Literacy Center have been using Avast Free for Education over the past few years and have been very happy with the product.

Managing a variety of platforms (Windows and OS X) plus the complexities of BYOD programs, and employees who often work from home can be challenging to any organization. With the launch of the new security product, Avast for Business, switching from on-premise protection to the new cloud-managed solution made perfect sense.

Making the switch to Avast for Business

For a company like the Mid-Valley Literacy Center, there are myriad benefits of using Avast for Business security on company devices:

  • Compatibility with both Mac and PC: With so many businesses now using both Macs and PCs, it’s important that staff members are protected regardless of the device they choose.
  • Cloud management: Avast for Business lets you manage all devices that power your business through the cloud. This makes managing all the devices across your network easier than ever.
  • Budget saving solutions: Avast offers the only free antivirus and anti-malware business-class protection. This saves every company considerable amounts of money and provides them with additional funds to use according to their needs.

We enjoyed sharing details about Avast for Business with Alan and are excited to see the ways in which it benefits his organization. If you’re an employee or business owner and are interested in reaping the benefits of free business security, you can learn more about Avast for Business online.
